One of our local mountain walks, the pond is very peaceful with minimal dog walkers and is a large open space with no restrictions for your dog to enjoy non-lead walks. Parking is available however it is minimal but it is free and allows easy access to the path to the pond. The main path is gravel/grass towards and around the pond There are manmade paths which are grass paths which lead onto the mountains further afield from the pond. If you follow a certain trail you can even go and visit the Bent Iron which can make your walk a lengthy one. The grass paths can be muddy in the rain therefore appropriate footwear would be suitable. The pond has no facilities as it is situated in the Valley's mountains. We love this little local walk and makes for a great experience for yourself and your dog especially if you want a quiet area to train your doggo.
