Dare Valley Country Park

Dare Valley is just outside of Aberdare. They have a large car park that is free and they also have a cafe to get some food or drinks after your adventure.

The country park has over 500 acres of scenic trails to explore, a site map can be collected from the visitors centre behind the cafe.

I haven’t walked all 500 acres- yet! But those I have offer fields for your dog to run off lead, rivers (some seemed quite fast flowing so I didn’t let Piper play in those), there are different sculptures to find and numerous trails to choose. 

Pathways are well tarmacd in majority of areas, although a few trails are off the beaten track.

A great place to pack a bag and explore for hours!
