The National Showcaves Centre for Wales

Image

The dog friendly, National Showcaves Centre has won several environmental and tourism awards and was once voted Britain’s Finest Natural Wonder. There are three exceptional caves, a dinosaur park and a museum for you and your dog to experience. Dogs must be on a short lead at all times, with owners having 'doggy bags' for any toileting.

The food is delicious. but unfortunately, the cafe isn’t dog friendly inside, so you’ll have to hope for good weather to eat in the outside dining area. Dogs are not allowed to visit The Shire Horse Centre.

The show caves are fabulous place to visit it was just unfortunate that Hardie was not keen on the caves. I would definitely take this into consideration if you plan to visit. The shop and cafe isn’t dog friendly but there are picnic benches outside that can be used. Even though dogs aren’t allowed in The Shire you are able to walk down and around the outside to be able to see it. I would definitely recommend a visit especially if you have young children as the dinosaur park is amazing
