There’s so much to explore and the views from the top are just breathtaking. They also offer free guided tours!

There are dog bowls placed all around so your dog will never get thirsty. Although the cafe and shop are not dog friendly places, you can still order some food to be brought outside (although it is a little pricey). The picnic area is beautiful and has a large map of Wales on the ground which we loved. Our tip? Don’t forget the outskirts of the castle, the walk around is just as lovely as the walk inside.

“We had a great day out here with the dogs. The dogs were allowed in so much more of the castle that I expected including up the towers etc. there were just a few places they restricted due to limited space and the cafe but there was a covered area you could go and eat/drink. ”

“Hey everyone, I visited Pembroke castle and it was a lovely day out, you can take your dog anywhere on the grounds even up on top. However I will say some of the steps are quite steep so I would definitely carry little paws up them, the facilities are clean and tidy and I will also note that you cannot take your dogs inside the gift shop or the cafe, but there are picnic tables out on the grounds where dogs are perfectly welcome. The space is huge and all of the boards that tell you the history of the castle are informative and interesting all in all good day out 💖”
