Jacob’s Ladder and Kinder Scout
Jacob’s ladder is a popular walk in the Derbyshire Peak District. The route starts at the gate in Edale, the start of the pathway to the Penne Way. It is also one of the main routes to Kinder Scout, another famous peak for explorers.
Park in Edale, taking in the breathtaking views and make your way up Jacob’s ladder, a set of stone steps cut into the hillside with views of the Peak District. This is a national trust site and a national nature reserve.
Once you have followed the path for a couple of miles before you start to ascend Jacob’s ladder you will come to a bridge and a river which is perfect for swimming for humans and dogs on a summers day.
Once you have reached the top you can traverse along to Kinder Scout. Which offers scenic Panoramic views
Dogs are asked to be kept on leads due to the wildlife
This can be a linear walk or a circular walk depending on how difficult/moderate you want it to be
