St Cyrus Natire Reserve is located four miles north of Montrose. The turn off point is well signposted along the A92 which leads down a single track into a car park and visitor centre. The visitor centre is open daily between April and October and Monday to Friday from November to March. There are public toilets located next to the visitor centre. As well as the beautiful beach and sand dunes for miles. You’ll find lots of information about the different trails you can head along and the different wildlife you might find along your way.

“St Cyrus is one of our favourite beaches in Scotland and somewhere we return to time and time again with our Cavapoo, Morag. In fact, we love it so much that it’s where we chose to celebrate her first birthday! The beach is incredibly spacious, with beautiful golden sand, stunning cliffs and plenty of room for dogs to explore, run and enjoy the sea.
There are lovely walking trails through the nature reserve too, but it’s worth keeping dogs under close control, especially during bird nesting season, to help protect the local wildlife. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll or a longer beach adventure, St Cyrus is a fantastic place to visit with your dog and one we’d happily recommend to anyone exploring the Angus coast.”
