We are an all-family run cafe & restaurant located in the heart of beautiful Monikie Country Park, serving the finest quality home cooked mediterranean and classic dishes in a relaxing and casual environment with a fully licensed bar.
The Byzantium has been around for over 25 years, relocating to Monikie Park in 2006 to surround itself with the beautiful scenery which compliments the food and atmosphere so well and we've never looked back since.
We have a wide offering from casual lunches of burgers and pizzas to our famous Iskanderoni and Sicilian chicken on our al carte. But if you fancy just popping in for a coffee, then we do that too. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with service to suit.

Great place to sit and have a rest while my family have a snack.
Mooma says - "We've only had food at Byzantium Cafe a couple of times but it seems nice. They have a covered outside area, like a big gazebo where you can sit with dogs but no dogs are allowed inside. Its lovely and shaded on a hot day but can be a bit chilly in the winter as its quite open to the elements.
The times we've been we haven't seen water bowls which isn't a problem for us because we always carry our own and a bottle of water but would be a nice feature to add. The only thing negative really is that sometimes on a windy day stuff gets blown off tables or out the bin as tables aren't cleared too often so wee scraps of food on the floor are a bit of a temptation to a hungry pup."
