Blackness Castle
The staff here are very friendly and helpful, ready to welcome your prince or princess through the door. We love this castle, it's great for the whole family to enjoy. There are picnic benches inside too where you can enjoy stunning views of the sea and the lovely bridges of Edinburgh, making a great lunch/picnicking spot.

Staff are always friendly and the castle itself is great. Its very rough underfoot in some areas of the castle, so sturdy footwear is recommended. September usually hosts their annual siege which (provided your pooches don't mind the noise of gunshots) is a great day out with all the rein-actors and events.
