Llangollen History Trail
Llangollen History Trail Walk approximately 75.8/8 miles (depending on the route you choose) allow 4-5 hours to include breaks and lunch. The walk starts along the canal up to the horseshoe falls, and then up near Velvet Hill. The route itself tells you to go round the hill, but the views on the top are worth the hike! Following the path, it then brings you down the Ruined Abbey. Through the caravan site at the back of the woods up to Castell Dinas and back down into Llangollen.
The leaflet can be found in the tourist office
It is dog friendly however there are fields of sheep on the route. The river and canal is easily accessible so do be mindful of the water levels and fast flowing water if you have a water mad dog!
