Looking for something a little different! Take your dogs down the mines to explore a bit of Welsh history.
We would only recommend you go on this adventure if your dogs are able to climb a series of steep metal stairs. Probably easier visit with smaller dogs as you can pick them up as you climb. Dogs are also welcome in the cafe!

A nice little hidden gem. As the description states, there are very steep metal stairs. Missy is a master of the spiral staircase, so we were quite confident she would be fine, so were caught out as she was beaten by the combination of metal grating and slope. Would recommend only if your able to carry the dog as a last resort (thankfully the hubby managed the task of carrying our indignant 20kg pupper!)
Staff were great in the gift shop and cafe and really friendly. After a well deserved cup of tea we did the lakeside walk as well.
