Glorious coastlines, ancient oak woodlands, mountains, rivers and castles, all beckon as you embark on your journey on our award winning railways. Dogs are welcome in the 3rd Class portions of our trains. A standard fare of £3.00 per dog applies. We regret that dogs (except assistance dogs) are not allowed in 1st class. Guide/Assistance dogs travel free of charge and are welcome in all our station buildings and carriages. Please Note - Dogs are not allowed on carriage seats.

Visited the FR for the first time in 30 years. Overall the Railway side of things was very good but made to feel very unwelcome in the catering facilities due to having a dog. Dogs are not welcome meaning we had to sit outside in the rain to have coffee, and could not have Sunday Lunch.
