Newton Bay Beach

This dog friendly beach welcomes our poochies all year round. The beach is a hot spot for dogs and their owners so you’re sure to meet plenty of two and four legged friends. If you’re up for a long walkies you can walk through the Merthyr Mawr sand dunes and up to the Ogmore River (it’s about a 90-minute walk there and back).

The beach is rarely crowded – even on a really hot day. There is a lack of facilities, no toilets, in particular, however, parking is plentiful. They also, occasionally have an ice cream van there, perfect to walk the beach with!
