Cairnpapple Hill
With stunning views across the Forth Valley and beyond, Cairnpapple’s henge dates from about 3800 BC. The site was later reused for a number of Bronze Age burials and, later still, it was used for early Christian graves. The site involves a short, gentle walk to the summit of Cairnpapple Hill where you will be able to explore a reconstructed cairn and graves. The site is very close to Beecraigs Country Park, and makes a nice addition to a days walking. In keeping with the Historic Scotland dogs policy, they are permitted throughout the site and must remain on lead at all times.

A lovely little site to spend an hour or so wandering about. The kids quiz is always a must to make sure you spot everything.
Right beside Beecraigs country park if the dogs need to stretch their legs afterwards.
